Plot Summary

Busan, South Korea’s bustling coastal city, is known for its beautiful beaches and vibrant tourism. But hidden beneath the waves lies an unstable seismic fault, waiting to unleash catastrophic destruction.

Professor Kim Hwi (Park Joong-hoon) is a marine geologist who detects unusual seismic activity in the depths of the East Sea. His worst fears come true when he discovers that a mega-tsunami, over 100 meters high, is heading straight for Haeundae Beach, one of the most crowded vacation spots in the country.

As panic spreads, different characters face their own struggles:
🌊 Man-sik (Sol Kyung-gu), a simple fisherman, tries to protect his longtime love, Yeon-hee (Ha Ji-won).
🚁 Hyeong-sik (Lee Min-ki), a brave rescue worker, risks everything to save lives as the city collapses.
🔬 Professor Kim fights against time to warn the government before it’s too late.
