Headshot (2016)

Directed by Kimo Stamboel and Timo Tjahjanto, Headshot (2016) is an Indonesian action thriller that follows the story of an amnesiac man named Ishmael (Iko Uwais), who is found wounded on a remote beach. He is rescued by a kind doctor, Ailin (Chelsea Islan), who nurses him back to health.

The film revolves around a man with amnesia, who sets out to protect the doctor (who saved his life) from a crime syndicate and also uncover his past.
Headshot premiered on September 9, 2016 at the Toronto International Film Festival and theatrically on December 8, 2016 in Indonesia. It received generally positive reviews from critics with praise for its cast performances (particularly Uwais and Islan), direction and action sequences.
