Mean Girls: The Reunion (2026)

Starring: Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, Lacey Chabert, Tina Fey

Get in, loser. We’re going to the PTA meeting.

Twenty-two years after the Burn Book scorched the earth of North Shore High, the Plastics are back—but this time, the jungle has moved to the suburbs. Mean Girls: The Reunion delivers a biting, hilarious, and stylish look at what happens when the Queen Bees grow up, only to realize that high school never truly ends; it just gets better funding.

The New Regime

Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan) has returned to Illinois, leaving a failed marriage and a stint in wildlife research behind. She takes on the one job she swore she’d never do: Principal of North Shore High. Her mission? To eradicate toxic cliques and bring zen to the hallways. But Cady quickly realizes that the teenage ecosystem has evolved into a terrifying digital landscape she barely understands.

However, the students are the least of her worries. The real power struggle isn’t in the cafeteria; it is in the boardroom.

The Plastics: 2.0

  • Regina George (Rachel McAdams): The apex predator has not lost her claws. Now a wealthy divorcée and a ruthlessly curated “Momfluencer,” Regina serves as the President of the School Board. She runs the town’s social hierarchy from her pristine Pilates studio, wielding judgment like a weapon and sipping organic kale smoothies while destroying reputations.
  • Gretchen Wieners (Lacey Chabert): Still desperate for validation, Gretchen is now a high-strung “Momager.” She is vicariously living through her TikTok-famous daughter, trying to make “fetch” happen on social media while battling anxiety and a crumbling marriage.
  • Karen Smith (Amanda Seyfried): In a twist of fate, Karen has stumbled upwards into becoming a beloved local weather reporter. While she still can’t spell “precipitation,” her “fifth sense” (her breasts can tell when it’s raining) has made her a local celebrity, though she remains blissfully unaware of the chaos around her.

The Crisis: The Digital Burn Book

The fragile peace of North Shore is shattered when Cady’s own rebellious daughter, Janis (named after her mom’s former best friend), helps launch a “Digital Burn Book.” This anonymous app doesn’t just target students—it spills the darkest secrets of the parents, threatening to ruin Regina’s brand and Cady’s career.

The Alliance

Forced into a corner, the original four must form an uneasy alliance. Guided by the sardonic wit of Ms. Norbury (Tina Fey), who is now the exhausted School Superintendent, the women must navigate Botox injections, PTA politics, and teenage rebellion to shut down the app.

Packed with biting satire on modern parenting, cancel culture, and the influencer economy, The Reunion proves that while plastic melts, mean is forever. They may be wearing designer blazers instead of pink mini-skirts, but on Wednesdays, they still play dirty.
